All proceeds go to Mi’kmawey Debert Indian Residential School Legacy Project, which shares and protects the stories of residential school survivors and their descendants, as well as the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation. This shirt is created by Muin Clothing Co., a Mi’kmaw-led brand, in partnership with Standfield's.

We wear orange on September 30 to honour residential school survivors and victims.

Residential schools and Indian Day Schools were implemented by the Canadian government with hopes to assimilate Indigenous children to European culture and eliminate the Indigenous population. Children often faced abuse in these schools and many did not return home.
